The BG Digital Force Gauge provides advanced force measuring with added features including data outputs, computer and motorized test stand control and a wide range of capacities from 0.12 lbf to 500 lbf.

Advanced features include RS232, Mitutoyo and analog outputs, high/low force set points, force averaging over time and remote computer control of BG functions. When mounted on a motorized test stand, the BG can stop travel at selected force setpoints, prevent force gauge overload and provide Go/No-Go indication.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Compact lightweight aluminum housing.
  • Split housing permits upright display with shaft up or down.
  • 4 digit 0.3" LCD display and 6 button keypad
  • American standard load shaft and mounting threads

OPERATION

  • Peak sampling rate: 65/sec.
  • Tension and compression peaks held in memory.
  • Selectable units: lbf, kgf or N.
  • RS232, Mitutoyo, ±1 Vdc analog and setpoints on 9 pin connector.
  • Bi-directional RS232 with baud rates to 9600 for computer control of BG functions.
  • Averaging mode provides average force over time
  • External trigger mode permits data capture upon receipt of external signal.
  • Setpoint outputs GO/NO-GO and IN-RANGE indication.

POWER REQUIREMENTS

  • Continuous operation with 110 or 220 Vac adapter.
  • Rechargeable NiMH battery for 10 hours of use with 8 hour charge.
  • Audo-off conserves battery power.
