The Mark 10 BG/EG Series offers two compact digital force gages with many features at a modest price. The rugged cast aluminum housing reverses for hand-held or test stand use. Push-button selection of tension and compression measurements in pounds, kilograms and Newtons. User programmable features include: unit selection, operational modes and analog/digital filtering. While both gages share many of the same features, the BG has additional capabilities including; RS232 interface, Mitutoyo output and programmable analog outputs, digital filtering, setpoints and external trigger modes. The EG may be upgraded to include RS232, Mitutoyo and analog outputs for automated testing, data acquisition or process control. NOTE: All features listed below are shared by both gages except for those in bold type which apply only to the BG Series.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Compact, lightweight and rugged cast aluminum housing.
  • Split housing permits upright display with shaft up or down.
  • Full 4 1Ž2 digit 0.3" LCD - low battery, mode and units display.
  • Optional adapter kits for mounting on popular test stands.
OPERATION
  • Peak force sampling rate: BG - 65/sec. EG - 30/sec.
  • Peak hold memory retains maximum tension and compression readings.
  • Selectable units: lbf, kgf or N.
  • Programmable units selection, operational modes and calibration.
  • RS232, Mitutoyo, ±1 Vdc analog and setpoints on 9 pin connector.
  • Bi-directional RS232 with baud rates to 9600 for external control.
  • Mitutoyo output for use with Mitutoyo SPC printers.
  • External trigger mode permits data capture upon receipt of external signal.
  • Setpoint outputs for OVER, UNDER and IN-RANGE signaling.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
  • Rechargeable battery provides 10 -12 hours of operation with 18 hour charge.
  • Display warns of low battery: selectable auto shut-off conserves battery life.
ACCESSORIES
  • Model BG includes: AC adapter/charger, six attachments, case and manual.
  • Model EG includes: AC adapter/charger, hook, flat tip, carrying case and manual.
  • Optional: Output option for EG, GO/NO GO indicator, cables, handles and mounting kits. Optional gripping fixtures and implements are also available.

  • Model BG: ± 0.2% F.S. ± 1 LSD.
  • Model EG: ±0.3% F.S. ±1 LSD.
  • NIST Calibration Certificate is supplied with BG and available upon request for EG.
