Precision machining ensures smooth movement and precise alignment of the rack and pinion elevating mechanism. The STK 100 is available with either a quick-acting lever or a close-control handwheel for testing spring forces to 100 lbf. Force measurement is provided by the compact Wagner Force One(TM) FDI digital force gage with the choice of six capacities ranging from 2 lbf thru 100 lbf. Interchangeable Plug N' Play Force Cell Modules are available to readily change force measurement capacity of the STK 100 at minimum cost. Spring deflection is measured with a 1'' x 0.001'' dial indicator mounted on the load beam. Other dial indicators can be mounted with longer or shorter deflection. The large test area provides a 6'' x 10'' work surface with a pattern of #10-32 mounting holes. Vertical travel is 10'' with a generous 3'' horizontal clearance. An adjustable collar is included to provide stop points of the load beam. Construction Large 10'' x 10'' aluminum platform, 6'' x 10'' work area. Steel guide posts with teflon-coated bushings. Maximum vertical gage travel is 10''. Maximum horizontal clearance is 3''. Maximum vertical clearance between hooks is 8''. Maximum vertical clearance between compression plates is 10 1/2''. Grid of 9 #10-32 mounting holes are provided on the platform. Operation Tension or compression spring testing with hand wheel or lever arm. Compression testing with 2'' diameter plate. Tension testing with provided hooks. Handwhell or lever provide 1'' travel for each 360(DEG) rotation. Accessories Included: 5/8'' and 2'' diameter plates, two hooks and one stop-point collar.
